Design & Construction

Our conical felting needles are precision-manufactured from high carbon steel and undergo rigorous heat treatment to achieve optimal hardness and toughness. Each needle features:

1. Tri-Leaf Tapered Cross-Section — The needle tip forms a conical triangular point perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. Every cross-section along the working part maintains a triangular profile, with the needle gradually thickening from tip toward the shank and the taper angle increasing distinctly.
2. Graded Spiral Barbs — Barbs along each of the three edges are size-graded: the closer to the tip, the smaller the barb. Multiple barbs are arranged in a helical (spiral) pattern along the three edges, with their tips oriented toward the needle point. This design ensures smooth, progressive fiber engagement.
3. Available Barb Configurations — Choose from G, GB, or B barb shapes to match your specific fiber type, fabric weight, and desired surface finish.
